Bridging the gap: How the implementation of EU legislation can unlock demand-side flexibility
The European Union recently adopted several pieces of legislation that, amongst other objectives, aim at activating consumers’ flexibility. It is now the turn of national governments to implement the provisions enshrined in EU legislation.
In its 2024 symposium, smartEn will present its implementation guidebook, highlighting key recommendations for national policymakers on how to activate consumers’ demand-side flexibility. Following this presentation, a panel debate will feature high-level representatives from the flexible demand management industry. They will discuss the challenges hindering demand-side flexibility and explain how national legislation should help to overcome these barriers.
We are pleased to be hosted by MEP Nicolás González Casares for this event.
The Symposium is an invitation-only event gathering MEPs, representatives from Member States, Commission officials, market players, system operators and national regulatory authorities. If you would like support in registering, please contact aline.nicolai@smarten.eu
