Brussels, 17 May 2017 – The Smart Energy Demand Coalition (SEDC) has concluded a partnership agreement with Intersolar Europe to strengthen the event dimension on “Smart Renewable Energy”. The conference and trade fair takes place in Munich, Germany, from 30 May to 2 June 2017.
As the energy transition in Europe advances, the role of smart solutions for improved consumer services and the optimal integration of decentralised resources into the electricity system has moved to the forefront. Intersolar Europe is reflecting this new dimension with its focus on Smart Renewable Energy.
“The interaction of distributed renewable energy generation with digitally enabled flexibility solutions like demand response will be the winning strategy for a clean and efficient electricity supply. We are glad to support the two sides coming together at Intersolar Europe”, said Frauke Thies, Executive Director of the SEDC.
The global energy market is currently undergoing a major transformation enabling new decentralized energy players and technologies integrate clean energy into the grid. As such, Intersolar Europe is shining a spotlight on the modern drivers of the new energy world in this year’s exhibition and conference.
In the Smart Renewable Energy Forum that will take place throughout the three days of the exhibition, Intersolar Europe will focus on the devices and communication technology needed for the integration of decentralized energy such as small and large electrical storage systems, intelligent transformers and virtual power plants.
The Smart Renewable Energy track will also feature at the Intersolar Conference on 30-31 May. SEDC has supported the organization and will be present in three sessions, focusing on virtual power plants, the digitalization of energy, energy clouds and big data, as well as prosumers and energy sharing.
