smartEn is the European business association for digital and decentralised energy solutions. By taking an integrated perspective on the interaction of demand and supply, our mission is to promote system efficiency, encourage innovation and diversity, empower energy consumers and drive the decarbonisation of the energy sector. Our members include innovators in services and technology for energy and data management, finance and research.
You will be part of a dynamic international team in the EU area in Brussels. Your tasks will focus on implementing smartEn’s communications and dissemination strategy, including the preparation of communications material and web-services, social-media engagement and press relations, as well as events organisation. The internship is paid and planned for a duration of at least 6 months.
Main responsibilities
- Draft, edit and manage smartEn communication tools in cooperation with the team and membership. This involves social media and marketing material, website, newsletters etc.
- Contribute to the drafting and editing of smartEn reports and publications
- Support to the association’s proactive press and media outreach, including the preparation of articles and facilitation of interviews
- Coordinate the organisation of public events and workshops
Desired skills and experience
- University studies in communications, journalism, design or other relevant disciplines
- Strong skills in written and oral communications with the ability to translate complex information into easily understandable and attractive messaging
- Analytical, curious and flexible approach and attitude
- Fluency in written and spoken English and knowledge of an additional European language
- Experience with social media, skills in design, web management tools and video are an asset
- Interest in playing an active part in the energy transition
