smartEn is delighted to be partner of the E.DSO 3rd FutureGrid Innovation Summit, taking place in Brussels on 11 February 2027.
As electrification accelerates across transport, industry and heating, Europe’s distribution grids are becoming the foundation of a secure, affordable and resilient energy system. DSOs are no longer only infrastructure operators: they are enablers of system-wide innovation, flexibility and digital transformation.
The 2027 edition – organised with the sponsorship of the Electric Power Research Institute Europe (EPRI Europe) – will focus on three main pillars: artificial intelligence, resilience, and flexibility, exploring how innovation can move from pilot phase into broad deployment and how Europe can accelerate investment, strengthen resilience, and scale practical solutions for the energy transition.
As part of the Summit, the E.DSO 4th Digital and Innovation Award will recognise outstanding and relevant start-ups contributing to the reshaping of DSO’s roles. The call for applications is now open.
