This is a strategic moment for European leaders to fully embrace the merits of the Green Deal in terms of decarbonisation, economic resilience and citizens’ involvement, as well as strategic security of supply, by accelerating the transition to clean and electrified energy systems.
We are the Electrification Alliance, an alliance of 10 European associations that firmly believe electrification is the future of the EU’s energy system. We call on the Commission to make energy savings and cost-effective electrification of the energy system the priority actions in its forthcoming strategy for more affordable, secure and sustainable energy.
