smartEn published a new position paper with recommendations to properly valorise demand-side flexibility (DSF) in all relevant methodologies and modelling scenarios.
Flexible demand and decentralised energy resources (DERs), including distributed renewable generation, demand response, and energy storage, will be crucial features of the more variable energy system.
Methodologies for cost-benefit analyses, modelling scenarios, and impact assessments must duly reflect this fundamental change to valorise all DERs and their contribution to a smart, efficient, and integrated energy system.
However, current methodologies developed at the European level have proven to oversee the crucial contribution of DSF persistently. Download the paper to read more!
